Tango Oblivion
(South West Swing disclaimer)

Tango Oblivion photoTango Oblivion was founded in 2000 by Ruth Zimmermann with the goal of teaching tango in the dance hungry town of Totnes in South Devon, England. Since then, she has been joined by Argentinean teacher Fernando Guidi and the business has steadily grown to encompass all of Devon. Ruth and Fernando now teach regular classes in Totnes and Torquay, lead regular workshops in north and south Devon, and have special week long events called Tango Mangos. Further, the scene in Totnes has grown to include regular practicas and milongas.

Current weekly classes:
  • Monday evening - The Ariel Centre, King Edward VI Community College, Ashburton Road, Totnes - Venue Map.
  • Tuesday evening - The Mint Methodist Church Hall, Fore Street, Exeter - Venue Map.
  • Wednesday evening - The Halcyon Centre, Halcyon Methodist Church, Dingle Road, North Prospect, Plymouth - Venue Map.

There is also a Sunday night Milonga every week at the United Free Church Hall, Totnes - Venue Map.
