Modern Jive is a male led partnered dance that can be danced to all kinds of music from traditional jive to modern dance music. The emphasis on Tuesday nights is very much on having fun whilst meeting people from other Directorates and hopefully learning a great new dance along the way!
As the dance lessons are not run as a course, new beginners are always welcome. Don't worry about the photo, that was just to get your attention! In all the beginner moves everyone keeps both feet on the ground! Whether you turn up on your own, or as a couple, it doesn't matter: we aim to change partners every few minutes so everyone gets to meet and dance with everyone else.
| PLEASE NOTE: From February 1st 2008 the weekly Coaver Jive lessons are cancelled due to works in the Coaver Social Club hall until further notice! Information about lessons restarting will be posted here once it known. |
