Devised from a casual French Rock 'n' Roll and a simplified form of Jitterbug, Ceroc was initially developed for a one off fun night, in the early 1980s.

At Ceroc you will learn a modern jive dance; a fusion of Salsa and Swing without the complicated footwork. It is a social, fun and accessible night and you can dance to a wide range of music from 40's Swing right up to today's chart toppers. You don't have to come with a partner and you don't need to book a course - just turn up and join in. It is also a fantastic way to keep fit, so if you are bored by the gym, give Ceroc a try and dance the pounds off.

The current weekly class is held every Tuesdays at Exeter Corn Exchange, Market Street, Exeter - Venue Map.

This Ceroc Devon's Friday night freestyle will have a Holiday theme. Dig out your Hawaiian shirts and your sombreros and come dressed for your ideal holiday. Whether it's doing the Samba in Rio, scuba-diving off the coral reef or riding a Camel across Morocco, pretty much anything goes! We might have to draw the line at 'topless sunbathing in Nice' for decency's sake (that goes for you too guys, if you want the ladies to dance with you!), but feel free to get creative.
